Knife Gate Valve – A Series
Unidirectional wafer knife gate valve with a one-piece cast body and guides that support the gate and seat wedges. Designed to provide high flow rates with low pressure drop in demanding industrial processes.

Utilization
This knife gate valve is suitable for liquids that contain a maximum of 5% suspended solids. If it is used for dry solids in gravity feed applications it should be installed with the arrow on the body pointing in the opposite direction to the flow.
Its unidirectional wafer design with full bore passage provides large flow capacity with low headloss, making it a robust solution for isolation duties in modern process plants.

Materials & sealing options
The A-Series is available in a wide range of body and trim materials so the valve can be accurately matched to the process conditions.
- Body materials: cast iron and stainless steel grades such as CF8M.
- Gate: stainless steel gate with optional surface treatments for more abrasive services.
- Seat: resilient elastomers (e.g. EPDM) and other materials depending on temperature and chemical resistance needs.
- Packing: different packing sets available for standard or demanding operating conditions.
Selection guidelines
- Specify fluid type, temperature, solids content and required pressure class when requesting a quote.
- Indicate if any special approvals or certifications are required.
- Actuation options include handwheel, gearbox, pneumatic or electric actuators depending on size and duty.
